Add Google AdSense ads to Examiner articles for an added income stream. The way people who write for Examiner.com earn money is by the article views. Another way to earn income from Examiner articles is to include Google AdSense ads to the body of the articles.
The ads are populated on the Examiner article page by Google according to keywords used in the article.
Select the Advanced Editor tab. This tab offers many more options for content, including seeing the source code of the Examiner article.
Click on the Source tab. Locate the paragraph or other letters typed as a placeholder.
Select Save and Publish Later to ensure your Examiner article will be waiting for you to add the source code for Google AdSense ads.
Type a letter or word, such as WORD, repeatedly as its own paragraph. One line is sufficient. This will act as a placeholder for the Google AdSense code.
This would appear, for example, as:
WORDWORDWORDWORDWORD
Go to Google AdSense and log in to your account.
Click on the AdSense Setup tab. Click on the words: AdSense for Content.
This will display ads that are appropriate for your site's content.
Log into the Examiner website. Access the PubTool page.
Write the Examiner article about the topic of your choice in your Examiner title area. This step can be done in the Basic Editor tab of the PubTool.
Find a break between paragraphs where you want the Google text ads to appear.
On the Choose Ad Format and Colors page, change the settings as desired or select Continue.
On the Choose Ad Channels page, press Continue. If desired, tailor these settings to track the ad performance.
On the Save and Get Ad Code page, name the code or simply press Submit and Get Code.
On the next page, select Link Unit or Ad Unit depending on the look of the ads wanted. For Examiner articles, text links are generally more appropriate so if this desired, select Link Unit.
