We cannot solve today's problems with yesterdays way of thinking-Ephran Taylor.
Destroy credit cards. And I mean all of them! Credit cards are evil! That way you won't be tempted to spend money that you don't have. Just think of it like this, Anything that you "buy" from a credit card that you don't pay back is not yours anyway. So since it is not yours leave it with it's owners. Focus good 'ol pay-upfront-ownership.
Before you do anything you must change the way you think about money management. This means controlling spending and maintaining consistency in improvement. You have to want to change it bad enough to actually change it.
Pull a free credit report. You can do this at myfreecreditreport.com, equifax, transunion, etc. Do this to find out exactly where you stand, how much is owed, see if there is any debt that was suppose to charge off, or debt that needs to be disputed.
Getting serious once and for all.We have to re-arrange the way we spend to see a change. And even though it is tempting to close our eyes and wait for bad credit to disappear, it just won't go away! It does not matter how bad your credit is, you can fix it by ,first, getting serious
Go to the credit doctor. Now that you have a good attitude about tackling debt let's do it! Talk to a professional. Now, I am not talking about the credit folks with hand written signs on the side of the road promising all your debt to be gone for $300. And I am also not talking about getting a loan to pay off a loan. (Just listen to the way that sounds). Some debt company is going to take on your debt? Trust me they are not in it for your best interest. They are trying to pay their bills will high interest rate. Which makes it harder for you to get out. I would suggest someone reputable like Lexington law firm. They sky rocketed my husbands credit for like $60 a month. It is so worth the little fee.
