It's all about eyeballs on your articles. That is how you get paid on the internet and in email and in the real world. Here's how to get them pointed your way:
Third, graffiti the world with your excellence. Try anything legal to post your site and articles. Use your friends; they'd use you in a heartbeat. Show your enemies; they'll always want to know what you're up to. Get some business cards and plaster a parking lot with your site. Just be creative. And wink a lot. Winks draw more eyeballs than anything.

Second, post your ehow account to Google, Yahoo, Bing, AOL or any other dorky search engine you can find. Geeks--and eyeballs--love search engines.
Include some descriptive key words about your site; describe the type of articles you deliver. Use these click-eroos:

http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx
First, write well and under a good title, with excellent key words. Picking a good topic is a good start. Would you rather read about bat droppings, Sarah Palin, or baseball bats? To each his own; if it interests you, write about it.
