NEC projectors are used by businesses and schools to display media from external devices onto a screen. The projectors are compatible with several devices, including computers, DVD players and document cameras. They do not require assembly, they take only a few minutes to connect to an external device and they are easy to use.
- Connecting the external device to the projector. Plug the connecting wires into the video, S-video or RGB output jacks of the device. On most devices, the jacks are color-coded to match the colors of the connecting wires. Plug the other end of the wires into the video, S-video or RGB input jacks of the NEC projector.
Once the external devices are connected to the projector, plug the projector into a power outlet. - NEC projectors can be operated with the control buttons on the top of the projector or by the remote control. To turn on the projector, press its "On/Standby Button" or the "On" button on the remote control. The power indicator light will turn green.
To start projecting media from the external device, press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the external device connection. For example, if you connected the device through the video jack, press the "Video" button on the remote control. The projector does not have a separate button for each source; it uses a single button labeled "Source" that you press until the correct source is selected. - At first, the projected image often won't match the screen. The NEC projector has several mechanisms to fix that. If part or all of the projected image falls below the screen, lift the front of the projector and press the tilt foot button on the underside. Move the projector up and down to find the right height for the tilt foot. Release the button when the image lines up with the screen.
You might need to make the projected image larger or smaller to fit the screen. Turn the image-size lever on the lens. This is one of two levers around the lens and is the one closer to the base of the projector. Turn the lever until the image fits the screen.
If the image is out of focus, twist the focus lever on the lens. This is the other of the two levers.
