Most conferences or meetings have a keynote speaker to really engage the audience and get some great expert information out. If you are having an event that has a keynote speaker, you want to make sure and get them the most exposure possible. Follow these steps to promote a keynote speaker:
Begin placement. Some outlets you will need to keep up on--for example, call the reporters you sent press releases to; tweet about the person and event multiple times.
Develop your strategy. Your promotions will be much more organized if you make a plan ahead of time. Plan a list of media outlets, including blogs and social networking and write your press releases and get any artwork done.
Research. Research. Research. The more you know about your keynote speaker the more great things you are going to have to publicize about her. Learn what great things the person has done in the field and what her experience is. The best way to do this research is to talk to the person, but if your contact with her is limited, research companies she has worked for and her publications.
