Advertisement should receive the greater of your budget, slacking with this can be deadly in business. Failing to push your business is like wearing glasses without lenses, or ordering a meal and don't eat it. But remember to never spread yourself to thin at this point, there's no reason to rush with anything you do. Having the point of view of others can be a big plus before you put any money toward any idea you may have to get new clients, even if the advice is negative still listen even if their nothing but jealous idiots! listen anyway.
Business cards can be a cheap effective way of getting new customers. Keeping a stack with you at all times is a must, every where you go bring them cards. When you get cards made be sure that there of a decent quality, this is very important when your trying to get new business. Always remember the harder you work the better your chances are. Quality is key when doing business, this goes double if the company is new. Flyers and post cards can be a good way of drawing in new clients as long as you are consistent. Having a website also can be a plus, it allows customers to get to know your company at any hour they wish, this cuts down on calls for directions or questions on prices. Be sure that your website is done professionally, it does not mean being flashy but a tacky or poorly down anything at this point can and will scare away clients.
Always pay close attention to what's going on with your business, always put the money you make back into the company this way your company will grow. When advertising try to choose methods that reach the most people rather than trying to reach few people over and over. A radio ad may reach 20,000 listeners as to you putting out 2,000 flyers for the same amount of money. Whatever you decide you must be consistent, this will eventually lead to a large cash flow for your company.
Now that you have started your new business its now time to get customers. Placing an ad in the phone book is a great place to start, depending on your profession medium to large size ads can be fairly cheap. Smaller ads are often free, adding color to your ad will surely get them phones ringing, but try not to over do it, some times large and flashy ads are not necessary. No-matter what other form of advertising you do t. v. ,., radio or whatever people will always go to the phone book to find you. Offering discounts in your yellow page ads, also help to get new customers and keep the old ones. Remember whatever discount you offer make sure its one you are willing to honor year round, because it will be in the phone book for the entire year until the next phone book comes out.
