Food

Each county only allows a select number of liquor licenses. Once that number is reached, no other licenses will be given out until someone stops using the one they have.
You may also be able to purchase a business license from a previous restaurant or bar at the same location.
Reputation
Create a good reputation for yourself by always being professional. Hire high quality employees, especially bouncers to keep the place respectable.

Location
Pick a prime location. As with any real estate adventure, the most important thing to consider is location, location, location.
If possible you can take over a spot that already has been abandoned by another restaurant, bar, nightclub or business. Look for something that can easily be converted into the nightclub of your dreams.
When you are looking for a location to start up your nightclub, look for a location that will not disturb neighbors late in the evening. Nightclubs should not be located too close to residential neighborhoods or other business that are open at night and do not want to be disturbed such as hospitals or colleges.
