Direct sales is one industry that is still doing well in today's economy. If you are in direct sales there are many promoting your business. With the proper promotions, your sales can dramatically increase. Some promotion ideas can be very expensive, but you have other options.

Use free promotional tools online. There are so many out there. Use craigslist, or any other sites that allow you to post free ads. You should use social networks. You do not have to change your entire profile to suit your business. Just put a few posts, blog about your business, and put your business as your interest. Any of these small things have a large possibility of increasing your business, and they are free.

Print flyer's for your business. You do not have to pay anything for these. Go to a search engine like www.ask.com. You will then search for flyer templates. You can find plain templates that you are able to add thing to, so it will suit your taste and business. Put these flyers everywhere; local stores, apartment complexes, church billboards, salons. Find any business that will allow you to do this for free.

Use your car as a bill board. Get a small sign made that describes your business briefly. You do not want to many details, just enough to get peoples attention. You can find these for very reasonable prices, and after you buy the sign the advertising is free.

Every business needs great business cards, even direct sales. You should find a place that can produce quality business cards for a low price. There are many options online. Go to a websites and request samples, so you can be sure of there quality. My personal favorite is
www.vistaprint.com. I have gotten a lot of free items from this site, and they are very good quality.

Direct sales can actually be easy to promote. It can also be done on a low budget. Don't be afraid to discuss your business with others, even strangers. Know your products, so you can give them great descriptions of items. Use every chance to promote. Check online for any free promotional tools. You have to promote your business to get sales, do this for the smallest amount of money.

Use every opportunity as a selling opportunity. Keep your business cards, brochures and flyers with you at all times. Any opportunity you see to promote, do it. If there is someone discussing items you may sell, hand them your card. If you notice a board to put flyers, you have one to put
on there. You can even use family get together to promote. If your family is anything like mine, there is a lot of people in and out. Place something that has your business logo, or description, close to the door. Even better, on the counters in the kitchen. You may get a few people asking about your business, and make sales.
