Furniture can often say a great deal about a business. It is one of the first things potential clients see in your office, so the right furniture can potentially help or hinder a contract or job opportunity. However, if you or your company is just starting off it, can be extremely expensive to properly decorate your office, so leasing the commercial furniture may be the best option.
Go into the store and select the commercial furniture you want to lease. Commercial leasing companies are going to typically have a wide variety of furniture, fitting most office styles.
Decide on a time period for how long you want the furniture. Some facilities require you to sign a contract stating you want the furniture for a set amount of time. It is usually cheaper to lease the furniture for longer periods of time. The actual amount of time you can lease the furniture may depend on where you are leasing from. Some companies may only provide leases in six-month segments, while other commercial furniture providers allow you to lease products for as short as one month. However, it is typically cheaper on a monthly basis to rent something for a longer period of time.
Check to see if the company offers delivery. If you are renting cubicles or larger objects, it is going to be far easier for the company to deliver the products to you, rather than you attempting to pick up the equipment and take it to your facility.
Contact a local office furniture store to find out if they provide furniture leasing. Many facilities may have either a leasing option or a rent-to-own option. The rent-to-own option allows you to lease the products, but once you have paid down their worth you now own the products. Companies that allow you to rent-to-own are not going to usually charge you more per month; however, by the time you actually pay off the furniture it may be extremely outdated and out of style, meaning you may not even want the furniture any more. You generally can't put the money you paid for the rentals down toward other furniture.
Sign all the contracts necessary. You most likely do not need to go through a credit check for this lease; however, do be prepared for one.
