A coffee table in a conference room may serve the purpose as a small center table for guests to place their beverages on in small, informal conference rooms. You might place another type of conference room coffee table off to the side at waist level for the purpose of brewing and pouring coffee. A conference room can have one or both types of coffee tables in the building or even in the same room.
Purchase a standing height serving table, and place it in a corner or against a wall. (See Resources.) Conference room end tables are a useful piece of furniture for serving coffee on.
Place coffee cups or water glasses and a water pitcher on the coffee table. Place napkins on the table as well. Position the low conference room style chairs around the coffee table ensuring space between each chair. The chairs should be low so that people do not have to bend down far to reach the coffee table.
Place the serving table near the wall near an electrical outlet. Place the coffee pot on the table along with cream and sugar containers. Supplies may also include coffee stirrers and napkins. Keep the table far enough away from the seating area so that the steam and noise from the coffee brewing does not become a distraction.
Place the coffee table in the center of the room. If you want to decorate the table, a small vase with fresh flowers would make an attractive centerpiece. If you are using a full-size conference room table or will be brewing coffee in the room, skip to step 3 to set up a coffee brewing station.
