Have you lost a valued employee due to a work placed injury?
It may seem costly to have them return to work however this is why The California Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) developed a reimbursement program that pays small business owners up to $2,500 for expenses incurred in making workplace modifications following an injury.
Any employer with 49 full-time employees or less, whose employee was injured on the job with in the last 90 days can be reimbursed for modifications of the work site including: equipment, tools, furniture and anything else necessary to accommodate your injured employees restrictions.
Examples could even include, custom knee pads for tile setters, to custom key pad trays for an office worker, or even wheel chair ramps for the permanently disabled.

After that you can go to www.dwc.ca.gov and click on the "Bring 'em Back" icon
To take advantage of this program and get reimbursed you have to:
Have all relevant medical records ready to be uploaded along with employee payments records and receipts.
Fill out the "Request for Reimbursement of Accommodation Expenses" form and attach copies of all the above mentioned pertinent data.
