The market for herbal products has increased steadily since the 1990s. As more companies manufacture herbal soaps for consumers, those in the herbal hygiene product niche have even more of an onus to market effectively. Use a handful of strategies to accomplish this important goal.

Create an emotional connection with clients by telling them that they deserve to enjoy a fragrant, natural soap. Emphasize how the soap can create an atmosphere of relaxation and rejuvenation, or talk about the comfort of knowing about the soap's environmental soundness.
- Tell the consumer the highlights of the soap's production process, and explain how it differs from other soap manufacturing. For instance, you might say something like, "Unlike commercial soaps, Herbal Soap X uses extracts from handpicked, organic chamomile, peppermint and raspberry, and uses a visual inspection process to make sure it contains only the finest herbs." The consumer will want to see that the manufacturing process has not contaminated the soap or diminished the full benefits of the herbs included.
- Convince consumers that an herbal soap represents an improvement over regular commercial soap in specific ways. List comparable products to make it easy for consumers to see how the herbal soap stacks up to commercial soaps in terms of cleaning power, fragrance, cost and ingredients used. In your comparison, mention any testing that the herbal soap has undergone that can prove your comparative assertions.
