In the mid-1990s, Herman Miller introduced the Aeron chair. The chair is made of the flexible mesh material pellicle, incorporates lumbar back support and can be adjusted numerous ways to fit the sitter. A comparatively pricey office chair, users everywhere continue to rave about the Aeron chair for its comfort and ability to relieve back pain. The lumbar support pad is one way the chair supports the sitter's back; however, the pad can be removed.
Lift the pad out of its track in the back of the chair.
Use equal pressure on each end of the pad.
Flip the pad over, and slide it back on the track if desired. One side of the lumbar support pad is thicker than the other and will provide different support for the sitter.
Use both hands to grasp the lumbar support pad on the back of the Aeron chair.
