What is an internet entrepreneur? My definition of an internet entrepreneur is someone who understands the internet and leverages that to earn money and
experiment online. It doesn't end there or everyone could call themselves an internet entrepreneur. An internet entrepreneur should also be earning a
substantial chunk of their income ON THE INTERNET. Read on to learn about becoming an internet entrepreneur.
Your next best bet is your own blog; become an expert at a topic and people will look up to you. These will be people who follow your advice, your "fans". Perhaps you can create an information product about all you have learned; these people will pay you to support you. Alternately, you can create other products, but first do thorough research on Google Keyword Tool so you don't waste your time.
Now you have learned about search engine optimization but you need to start practicing. Try your hand at eHow or Squidoo. These websites allow you to earn money generated from ads. You can create basic articles or more advanced ones. Point is, you can start earning money here without spending a dime.
If you have a big enough audience, monetize your blog! You can do this with Google Adsense but better yet, try this: approach a product company that you think would be willing to buy advertisement space from you. If you get 10,000 loyal readers a month, negotiate for ad space.
We all have to start somewhere, but understand this: to become an internet entrepreneur, you MUST UNDERSTAND how basic seo works. After all, if you are starting off, you have to know how to get your website, online business, articles etc to rank high in Google and other search engines. Start reading and experimenting NOW. It will take you a couple of months to experiment and start dominating small niches. Learn what you can from that and try to dominate keyword terms with higher monthly queries. If what I'm speaking about is French to you, better hit the 'net!
When you start earning at least 50% of your income from internet/online ventures, you can call yourself an internet entrepreneur. Until then, you're an internet entrepreneur wannabe! (And, hey, there is nothing wrong with that!)
