QSL cards are essential for amateur radio operators, as it both markets, and is used as a confirmation that their signal and radio show are being heard by other people or picked up by connecting radio stations. For those who do not already listen, it gets people interested in their show and may bring in new listeners. Creating and printing a QSL card can be an easy process with only a few minutes of work for effective results.
Decide if you want to use one of your own images on your QSL card. You can decide later if you want to use this image as the background of your QSL card, or as a logo at the top right, left, or center. If you do want to use an image, click "Browse" near the "Image Name" menu. A new menu will open, allowing you to upload any picture saved on your hard drive. If you do not want to use a picture, then your QSL card will have a white background.
Click on "qsl cards" on the left menu. Scroll down the screen until you reach the text fields.
Fill out the text fields on the left side of the menu. This includes your physical location, the name of your radio show and whether or not you are an ARRL (American Radio Relay League) member.
Go to RadioQTH.net. They offer a free service where you fill out some text fields with your information, and they will create a PDF file of your QSL card. You will need Acrobat Reader to see the finished result. If you do not have this program, it is offered free on their site.
Choose how you would like your image displayed. If you make the background field "Yes," then the photo will be displayed in the background of your QSL card. If you choose "No," then choose from the "Image Location" menu where you would like the image displayed, in the right, left or center. Last, choose the text and border colors.
Fill out the text fields on the right side of the menu. These are optional, but the information is good if you are hoping to pull in more members. These text fields are mostly to tell people who receive your QSL card what station and frequency you are on.
